KCR is making his puppet Jagan as a return gift
Telugu Desam national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu once again brought the anti-KCR card to the fore and tried to whip up the Andhra Pradesh self-respect sentiment.
He addressed huge public gatherings at Madanapalli, Chandragiri and Nagari constituencies in Chittoor district on Tuesday.
Mr Naidu targeted Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and accused him of instigating people in TS against those in Andhra.
Mr Naidu alleged that Mr Rao, who is responsible for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, has been trying to create unrest in the state by backing YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“Mr Rao wants to give me a ‘return gift’. Shall we accept it? The return gift of KCR is making his puppet Jagan as chief minister of AP, in order to rule the state indirectly. Shall we accept it? Isn’t it an insult to our self-respect?” he asked the gathering.
Mr Naidu further alleged that Mr Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have ganged up with the YSRC chief to create trouble in the state.
“I’m not afraid of anything and I can face any challenge as long as AP people are with me. I give utmost importance to Telugu pride and so, will not tolerate this trio who, he said, were conspiring against the interests of the state.
Condemning Mr Modi’s allegation that he was using Polavaram as an ATM to withdraw money, Mr Naidu said the PM had emptied all the ATMs with his utter flop show of demonetization.
“Mr Modi made Polavaram to starve for money. The state has to get Rs 4,500 crore as reimbursement from the Centre which rendered the project into a defunct ATM.”
Describing Polavaram project as ‘ATW — Any Time Water’ project, Mr Naidu said that the water from this project will reach the villages at the click of a button and asserted that it will be completed by the end of this year.
