![]() Rough Movie Review | Routine Commercial MovieFilm:Rough Cast:Aadi, Rakul Preet Singh, Sri Hari, MS Narayana, Raghu Babu and others. Music:Mani Sharma Produced by:M.Abhilash – Sridevi Entertainments Directed by:CH.Subba Reddy Censor Certificate:U/A Story: Chandu (Aadi) is a happy going guy who falls for Nandu (Rakul Preet), the only sister of local business tycoon Siddharth (Sri Hari). Chandu directly goes and meet Siddharth and admits his love for Nandu. Siddarth hates it. Chandu and Siddharth eventually end up in a tough challenge. What is that challenge? How did Aadi meet the challenge to win Nandu’s love? Did Siddarth accept Chandu love finally? The answers for the above questions form the rest of the story. Performances: Aadi has played a mass role in the film and he did not have much scope to elevate himself as a mass hero in his earlier films but Rough has fulfilled Aadi’s wish and Aadi is good in this role. He performed very well and gained good marks. Rakul Preet Singh is the latest sensation in the film industry. This is the first Telugu film she has signed and she is the heart throb for many. She plays a good role in the film and she attracts everyone with her performance, dances and glamour. Sri Hari plays the brother role of Rakul Preet in the film. This is his last film and this film is dedicated to the deceased actor. The other actors who are present in the film made their presence felt. Plus Points : Music Performances Dances Minus Points : Story Screenplay Direction Cinematography: The cinematography is handled by KK Senthil Kumar and S.Arun Kumar. The cinematography in the film is good and the cinematographers has done a brilliant job in picturizing some beautiful locales and showed the hero and heroine in best looks. Editing: Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor for this film. The editing is good. There are few unwanted scenes in the film that disturb the flow of the film. They could have been sent to trash bin. Music: The music is done by veteran music director Mani Sharma. Mani Sharma has composed a beautiful audio album for the film Rough. All the songs are good and impressive. The listeners also received it in a positive manner. The BGM in the film is of Mani’s style and it is very nice as it elevated many scenes in the film. Story & Screenplay & Dialogues & Direction: The film has been written by Marudhuri Raja. CH.Subba reddy made his debut as a director with this film. The dialogues are good and natural. The story of the film is very old and routine. The poor execution of the story resulted in an artificial touch. The director heavily banked on the comedy and action sequences rather than concentrating on the story and neat execution. The direction is not up to the mark. The director failed to impress the viewers. He tried to deal an old story with an old approach. Rough From Reviewer View: Rough is one of the most awaited films as the project started last year. Finally, it released today and as expected Aadi was shown in a new awatar and especially in a mass role. He improved as an actor but he still needs to concentrate more on expressions and acting. The film has a routine story and it has a routine execution. The makers failed to impress the audience with a new kind of dealing and the problem came there. Rough falls flat at several places and the scenes are also not written well. Verdict: Rough is a routine commercial entertainer which offers nothing new. Try other film releases for this weekend.
