Mission Mangal actress Taapsee Pannu talks about #MeToo movement
Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu is currently busy in promoting her upcoming film Mission Mangal. The movie is slated for Independence Day release. In a recent interaction, Taapsee was asked about the #MeToo movement, which became a big issue last year.
Speaking to the media, the actress said that although not much is being discussed about the movement now, one should not lose all hope. Recent months have seen several names being given a clean chit in #MeToo cases, making people think if the matter has cooled down.
Taapsee said that she was hopeful that the movement would not go out of focus. She also said that she felt that #MeToo ‘suddenly exploded’ and it's acceptable that things can't change suddenly but women should not give up so soon. She said it was important not to give up because otherwise even future generations would have to suffer. "Despite there being times when one failed, they should not give up because one day, they would get the results they deserved," Pannu added.
