THE END From Reviewer View :
THE END is touted to be a horror/thriller film but the interest generated by the trailer will not be found in the film. The film follows the routine horror format where a number of Telugu films already implemented. A house in the outskirts of the city and some un natural things results in the realization of the evil spirits and finally the ghost possessed by one of the lead actors.
It is the routine formula for horror kind of films and people are fed up with the routine commercial format and looking for different experimental films but the film makers have derived a special formula indirectly for horror films and in the name of experiments, they are testing the audience patience.
THE END really offers nothing new to the viewers. A routine story with a routine and predictable execution makes us to feel bored. To justify the genre, few scary moments tries to thrill us. The film makers try the same and routine way to scare the audience by introducing several camera angles and background score. There isn’t much scope for music and the music director tries to scare with his BGM and few scenes are good with the Background score.
The cinematography of the film is good and the run time of the film is a big letdown. The duration of the film kills your little interest of watching the film. The director never reveals the actual story and the second half is good with the performances but the story disappoints one who expects something new from the young filmmaker who grabbed an award in MAA Short Film Contest. On a whole, THE END is a simple and routine kind of horror/thriller film that offers nothing new.
We are hoping that the movie makers try horror/thriller films in a different format not just by shooting the film in a haunted house/bungalow/fort/palace. The viewers are always ready to experience the thrill and get scared. Uniqueness matters!
First Half : Boring
Second Half : Good
ANDHRAVILAS single line verdict :
THE END is a routine kind of horror/thriller film which can be watched on television sets. Better skip the film.
