NSDC offers job-oriented plumbing training
Hyderabad, March 15 (INN): The National Skills Development Corporation has announced a job-oriented plumbing training course.
To create awareness, a Talk on “Plumbing need of a Healthy Country” is being organized in the city at Hotel Central Court, Lakdikapul on 17th March, 2014 from 3 PM. The talk will familiarize its participants “Star Scheme” which is funded by Ministry of Finance Government of India under National Skill Development Council to generate “Skilled Plumbers”. All are invited to participate in the same, particularly unemployed or underemployed youth, and those who can read and write. The training may prove to be a good opportunity for them to get trained and engaged in skillful employment.
Organised by Dhanush Engineering services India Pvt Ltd, a city based Authorised Training Partner with IPSC (Indian Plumbing Skills Council). IPSC is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) partner of National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC). National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), a public-private partnership not-for-profit company formed under the Union Ministry of Finance, was set up to facilitate the development and upgrading of the skills of the growing Indian workforce through skill training programs.
Harpreet Singh, Vice President of Indian Plumbing skills Council and M. Chakradhar, Founder and CEO of Authorized Training Partner of Indian Plumbing Skills Council Dhanush Engineering Services India Pvt Ltd will address the gathering. The job related Plumbing Training programs provided include Plumber Helper, Plumber Assistant and Plumber General. All these are entry level 1,2,3 programs and each one is of 30 days duration informed Chakradhar. These trainings are offered with job opportunities. Those who have Aadhar Card and able to read and write can undergo these training programs. The fee for the same is Rs.2000/- plus Service Tax. It will be reimbursed at the end of the training program.
On successful completion of the training program participants will be awarded a Certificate by the Government of India under STAR (Standard Training Assessment and Reward) Scheme The objective of this Scheme is to encourage skill development for youth by providing monetary rewards for successful completion of approved training programs. Specifically, the Scheme aims to encourage standardization in the certification process and initiate a process of creating a registry of skills; Increase productivity of the existing workforce and align the training and certification to the needs of the country; Provide Monetary Awards for Skill Certification to boost employability and productivity of youth by incentivizing them for skill trainings.
