Gupshup ties up with Cisco to develop chatbotsMumbai, July 13 - Silicon Valley-based bot platform Gupshup on Wednesday collaborated with IT networking ginat leader Cisco to connect chatbot development capabilities with Cisco's fully integrated cloud-based collaboration service "Cisco Spark". Gupshup's bot development platform enables developers to quickly build and incorporate advanced chatbot functionality into new and innovative service offerings for Cisco customers. "Providing our customers and developers access to Gupshup's intuitive bot platform will create customisable experiences that enhance Cisco Spark's capabilities," Jason Goecke, General Manager, Cisco's Tropo Business Unit, said in a statement. "Cisco Spark" delivers a highly secure, connected collaboration experience via Cloud, combining the three types of communication tools people use most at work -- messaging, meeting and calling -- into a single platform. Using Gupshup's bot builder platform, developers will be able to create advanced, omni-channel bots for a responsive and intuitive experience within the Spark ecosystem. "Chatbots are quickly transforming the way we use computers, providing a simpler, easier and conversational interface to advanced services," added Beerud Sheth, CEO of Gupshup.
